Programs

Clients will work with Home Life staff to develop basic employment skills. We will focus on resume building, best practices in on-site work behavior, attendance, and social appropriateness, along with common entry-level job skills such as customer service, courtesy clerk, and janitorial tasks. In addition to basic employment skills, we offer courses that help clients increase their skills in specific areas such as cashiering or writing.

Community Living Program

Individuals in these programs typically live on their own, with peer roommates, or with their families. Some people we support are high school age and other people are in their nineties. Now days working professionals today are away from their home and work in remote places. The senior citizen and elders of such families often do not wish to live permanently with their children in strange and distant places. They prefer to be live their own homes in native or familiar place except for visiting their kids sometimes either way.

L.I.F.E. provides Group Homes, Alternative Living Houses , Personal Supports , Family Support Services and Community Support Services so that individuals can access the service supports appropriate to their needs and can change supports as their abilities grow. Our services are personalized by your needs and goals; as you grow and your needs change, our supports change with you. We build strong partnerships with people and their families based on mutual respect and a motivation to provide creative, quality supports driven by personal choice. Reviews should pertain to the experience with provider, quality of care, and/or value of services rendered by the care provider. L.I.F.E. provides support to adults facing a variety of challenges such as autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, and traumatic brain injury .

Now old age homes comes into picture who cater to old people and take care of your worry by giving an alternate homes to them when you are not with them. Elderly people have the right to basic age care facilities like health care, social security, safety & security and other basic amenities. We believe that serving the community in any capacity is the one of best way to attain peace and prosperity in life. Our effort is to make concept of the old age home is practically acceptable in a positive way.

Community Living

They have much to contribute to the larger community but might need help with day-to-day tasks that are easier for people without disabilities. Our participants strive to live fun, enriching, and entertaining lives like anyone else! Through donations from people like you we can help bridge the financial gap between state and federal funding and what our clients need to live more fulfilling lives.

Our Residential Program continues to evolve and change to meet the needs of the new generation as well as our aging population. L.I.F.E. is currently working on a comprehensive plan to reopen all lines of services; that will be consistent with local, state, and federal guidelines. This is a summary of how we have phased in visitations to the homes of the individuals we serve. Our staff are trained specifically to support people who may have difficult behaviors and they work closely with agency behaviorists to develop and implement support plans based on individual needs.

In this program, supported individuals are assisted in leaving their homes and engaging in the community. Many of Home Life’s residents attend community gatherings, public events, bowling nights, and much more. Each home provides individualized care to support residents, allowing them to live as independently as possible. The Residential Program’s homes have 24-hour care staff and are operated by separate Program Managers who are overseen by a Program Director.

Toward the end of the week, Tom announced that he was ready to go back to his “other family at Koebel House.” That tells me that Home Life is meeting Tom’s need to belong. It reassures me that he will continue to feel this way after I am no longer around.

Help Enhance The Lives of Our Participants

These quarterly courses are designed to build on each other so clients who have taken beginning employment skill-building courses can advance into more job-specific skill-building courses or repeat a class the next time it is offered. When we accept a client into our Residential Program, we are committing to that person for life, or for as long as they choose to stay at Home Life. This gives our clients the opportunity to age in place and live out their lives comfortably at home.

Through this 3-month course, clients will work one-on-one with a certified coach to help them identify areas of employment they are interested in and organizations or businesses in the community that would be a good fit. Clients get the opportunity to conduct informational interviews, go on field trips to local businesses and organizations and meet others in the community who currently work in the field of interest. The goal of this program is to provide a safe and encouraging environment for the client to create employment goals for their future job development and job placement in the community. These two programs function similarly in the support they provide to individuals. The general focus of both programs is to work on the practical skills needed to live independently and the social skills needed to initiate, develop, and maintain healthy relationships. We support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, over the age of 18, and who have been referred to us by a county Service Coordinator.

They were so great and had welcomed her in such a way that I felt completely comfortable saying “she is all yours”. This was a real success all the way through and a great example of what Home Life Inc. Community Living Supports was started in 2016 and has operated under a few different names since then. Individuals utilizing Community Living Supports have chosen Home Life to be one piece of their support network and typically have other provider agencies or PSW’s to fulfill the rest of their support needs. The team that operates both programs consists of one Program Coordinator, three Program Managers, and one group of Direct Support Professionals.
